Previous experience and a
Valid Forklift Licence
and
Warehouse Experience
would be an advantage, but is not essential as
full training will be provided.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Goods In and Out Handling:
Receive and inspect incoming deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality and prepare outgoing shipments in line with company procedures and customer requirements. Ensure all goods are correctly labelled, documented and stored.
Forklift Operation:
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload and transport stock. Carry out daily safety checks and report any faults or hazards.
Stock Control and Issuing:
Accurately issue stock to relevant departments or for dispatch, ensuring stock movements are properly recorded and inventory levels are maintained.
Purchase Order Management:
Raise, track, and process purchase orders in coordination with the operations team.
Goods Inward Processing:
Book received items into the stock control system, ensuring all data is entered correctly and supporting documentation is filed appropriately.
Inventory Management:
Perform regular stock takes and cycle counts to ensure accurate stock records. Identify and report stock discrepancies or damages and assist in resolving these issues.
Health & Safety and Housekeeping:
Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE and manual handling procedures. Keep work areas clean, tidy, and free from hazards at all times.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with warehouse colleagues, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations.
Weekend Availability:
Weekend working availability is required as part of this role.
