Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history assessments and physical examinations. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, developing individualized treatment plans. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging studies. Provide preventive care services, including vaccinations and health screenings. Educate patients about their conditions and treatment options, promoting adherence to prescribed therapies. Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient management. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards. Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current with advancements in internal medicine.

Qualifications

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. Board certification in Internal Medicine or eligibility for certification. Valid medical license to practice in the state of employment. Strong clinical skills with a focus on patient-centered care. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and families. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of industry trends.
