Job Description
Wide experience in aspects of cardiothoracic disease and its management Experience in Intensive Care management of patients having undergone cardiothoracic surgery Experience in the peri-operative care of cardiac surgical patients including pain management Experience of peri-operative TOE Experience in the anaesthetic and intensive care management of patients undergoing cardiac or lung transplantation Experience with mechanical cardiac support TOE exam SKILLS & ABILITY ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE Builds a strong and effective relationship with patients, relatives and colleagues Ability to gain confidence and trust Ability to cope with pressure and adapt to change Excellent communication skills, team working skills and willingness to work cooperatively Leadership skills appropriate to leading a multidisciplinary team *Directing and teaching medical, nursing and other professions allied to anaesthesia and Intensive Care
