Surrey & Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust are seeking to appoint a full time Locum Consultant Physician in General Medicine to join an enthusiastic and established team of 6 Consultants on the short stay units at East Surrey Hospital and to work in partnership with other Specialist Medical teams throughout the trust.
The successful applicant will form an expanded team of 8 full time equivalent Consultants in General Medicine taking it to full establishment and will be based at East Surrey Hospital. The service have been developed significantly over the last four years from 18 beds to three full general medicine wards with total beds of 96 and its' onwards development is in line with RCP guidance across the trust. Opportunities for special interests are available within the job plan including speciality clinic; Diabetes and endocrinology, Infection Disease, Rheumatology, Oncology and Ambulatory Emergency Care, Point of care ultrasound and Education.
