We are committed to providing high-quality legal services to our clients and are currently seeking a skilled and technically able Locum Conveyancer to join our team on a temporary basis.

We are looking for an experienced Locum Conveyancer to cover a period which will likely be 4-8 weeks. The ideal candidate must be technically proficient and capable of handling all aspects of conveyancing with minimal supervision. This role primarily involves title checking, preparing reports on searches and mortgages, and ensuring smooth and efficient transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough title checks and identify any issues that may affect property transactions; Prepare detailed reports on property searches and mortgage conditions; Manage and progress a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters to completion; Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other parties involved in the conveyancing process; Ensure all conveyancing transactions comply with legal requirements and firm policies; Handle client queries and provide clear and concise advice throughout the transaction process; Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years' experience in residential conveyancing. Strong technical knowledge and experience in title checking, searches, and mortgage reports. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage a busy caseload effectively and work to tight deadlines. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Proficiency in using relevant IT systems (the firm uses PROCLAIM)
