Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of anatomy, medication administration, and patient care, particularly in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting. The Pharmacist will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide optimal pharmaceutical care and contribute to the overall health and well-being of our patients.

Duties



Dispense medications accurately and efficiently while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements. Provide comprehensive medication management, including reviewing patient medication profiles for potential interactions or contraindications. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Educate patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and adherence strategies. Monitor patient outcomes and adjust medication therapies as necessary to ensure optimal therapeutic results. Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, inventory, and controlled substances in compliance with regulations. Participate in clinical rounds in the ICU to provide pharmaceutical expertise and support patient care decisions. Stay informed about new medications, therapies, and industry trends to enhance professional knowledge.

Requirements



A valid Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution. Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) or equivalent regulatory body. Strong knowledge of anatomy, medication administration protocols, and patient care practices. Previous experience working in an ICU or similar clinical environment is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating professionalism at all times.
