Job Description
Locum Planning Solicitor - Up to 65 per hour (umbrella) - 3 months+ - East Midlands (Hybrid)
Venn Group's specialist legal team are currently working with a Local Authority in the East Midlands who are looking for interim support from an experienced Planning Lawyer.
Role Overview:
Position: Locum Planning Solicitor
Location: Hybrid working - committee attendance required
Contract Length: Initial 3 months with the possibility of extension
Rate: Up to 65 per hour (umbrella), ideally full-time or potentially full-time over 4 days
Key Responsibilities:
Drafting and negotiating s.106 agreements
Advising on planning applications, enforcement, appeals, and highways matters
Attending and advising at Planning Committee meetings (2 per month, flexible)
Advising Members and Officers on complex planning and environmental law matters
Requirements:
Qualified Solicitor, CILEX or Barrister
Strong experience in Local Government Planning Law
Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
Comfortable attending evening or daytime committee meetings as required
