to join a friendly and supportive GP surgery team on a locum basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated nurse looking for flexible hours whilst contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care in primary care.
You will be working alongside GPs, ANPs, HCAs and administrative staff, delivering a wide range of nursing services to the local patient population.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality care in line with national and local guidelines
Manage and deliver chronic disease reviews (e.g., asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension)
Undertake cervical cytology (smear tests)
Childhood immunisations and adult vaccinations
Wound care management, dressings, and suture removal
Travel health advice and vaccinations (if qualified)
Phlebotomy and routine health checks
Contribute to health promotion and patient education initiatives
Maintain accurate patient records in line with practice policies
Requirements
Registered Nurse (NMC registration)
Previous experience working as a
Practice Nurse
in a GP surgery or primary care setting
Competent in chronic disease management and long-term condition reviews
Qualified in cervical cytology, immunisations, and vaccinations
Confident working both autonomously and within a team
Excellent communication and organisational skills
