Locum Senior Planning & Highways Solicitor

Hybrid Working 12 Days Onsite Per Month
Full-Time (Part-Time or Condensed Hours Considered)
Initial 36 Month Contract
35055 per hour (Umbrella)
Panoramic Associates is currently working with a South East-based Local Authority to recruit an experienced Locum Senior Planning & Highways Solicitor. This is an initial 6-month assignment with the potential for extension. Youll be joining a supportive and well-established legal team, contributing to a varied and rewarding caseload in planning and highways law.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of planning law matters, including drafting and negotiating Section 106 agreements
Provide legal advice on a broad range of planning and development control issues
Advise on highways law, including rights of way and road traffic matters
Handle planning enforcement matters, including the drafting and service of enforcement notices
Attend and advise at planning committee meetings on a rota basis
Essential Criteria:
Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of CILEX with a current practising certificate (England & Wales)
510 years PQE, with demonstrable experience advising Local Authorities
Strong working knowledge of planning law and associated legislation
Previous experience advising at planning committees is preferred however, training can be provided for the right candidate
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planning solicitor to support a progressive local authority with a flexible hybrid arrangement.
