, providing high-quality inpatient and outpatient care across the General Medicine service, including a wide range of medical subspecialties. The role will involve clerking new admissions, managing acute and chronic medical conditions, participating in ward rounds, and supporting the multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient care.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Provide medical care to inpatients under the supervision of consultants across General Medicine and its subspecialties.
Participate in the acute medical take, including clerking, assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients presenting acutely.
Contribute to ward rounds, discharge planning, and outpatient clinics.
Work closely with nursing staff, allied health professionals, and specialty teams to ensure continuity of care.
Participate in the on-call rota as required.
Maintain accurate, timely, and legible patient records in line with Trust policy.
Engage in clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement activities.
Contribute to the teaching and supervision of junior doctors, medical students, and other healthcare staff.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements
Full GMC Registration with a license to practise.
Minimum of 4 years post-graduate clinical experience, including at least 2 years in Medicine.
Experience in the management of acute and chronic medical conditions.
Evidence of participation in CPD and clinical governance.
Valid and in-date Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification (essential).
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
MRCP (UK) or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
Previous NHS experience.
Additional life support courses (e.g., ATLS, APLS, NLS).
Evidence of teaching and supervision experience.
Participation in audits, quality improvement projects, or research.
