DG Solutions are a large Dangerous Goods Support and Training organisation across the UK and into Europe.

DGS are a young and dynamic organisation that work with many clients from micro-businesses, to large multinationals helping them with all aspects of advice, support and training for the logistics and shipping of chemicals, batteries, radioactives and explosives.

Due to our expansion, DGS are opening a new office in Horsham in late 2025 and are looking for motivated operations team members, who will need to have a strong logistics and administration background and experience working with UK Couriers (FedEx, UPS, DHL etc.), would be an advantage.

This role will suit someone with an operational or logistics background who is friendly, professional, has a high-level of accuracy and enjoys finding solutions to any issues that we face. All training on the technical and systems aspects of the role will be provided to ensure the successful candidate is confident and knows how to help our clients best.

Our administrators have a range of functions, including preparing and packing course materials for dispatch to candidates, booking and tracking shipments to our clients and candidates, marking exam papers, creating certificates, keeping accurate files and records of training undertaken.

The role also includes oversight of calendars and travel time for our remote consultants and finding solutions to a wide range of challenges that we face operationally.

The role will be office-based and have elements of administration involved, but will also require occasional travel around the UK to move fleet vehicles, deliver course materials which are of high urgency, build relationships and generally ensure we are providing excellent service overall.

Company vehicles are available, and a driving license is a must for this role, as is fluent English, good IT skills and telephone manner.

Some of the detailed responsibilities include:



Picking and crating course materials for weekly training bookings. Monitor and report on training material volumes and estimated arrival times. Printing, binding and preparation of business and client documents. Filing and organising of business documentation. Book, manage and monitor logistics of company materials by various couriers, to and from clients. Liaise with internal Client Support Team to ensure bookings are successfully completed. Other administration tasks, as required.

Preferred Requirements



Full UK Driving License Excellent computer literacy, being able to confidently work with Microsoft Office suite (in particular Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook). Ability to fluently write, read and speak in English Excellent customer service and professional communication skills Innovative and problem-solving attitude Excellent phone manner Numerate, methodical with the ability to work in a busy environment and meet deadlines. Flexible and adaptable with exceptional attention to detail. Good organisation skills with ability to prioritise and manage workloads

Pay: 24,000.00 per year
