Logistics Administrator

Orpington, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

About the Role

Unique Seafood Ltd is looking for a Logistics Administrator to join our friendly, fast paced team based in Orpington. While Unique Seafood Ltd is UK based, we are part of the wider Unique Seafood Group and our logistics operation is truly international. Working with suppliers, transport partners, and customers across the world. No two days are the same, and there's always something new to learn.

Ideally, we're looking for someone with experience in logistics or a similar administrative role who enjoys taking ownership of their work and being involved in the full journey of goods, from arrival through to delivery. However, for the right candidate with a great attitude, strong organisation skills, and a genuine interest in logistics, we're happy to provide training and support.

This is a fully office-based role, working closely with a supportive and knowledgeable team who value collaboration, reliability, and getting the job done well. If you enjoy a busy environment, international operations, and being part of a close-kit team where your work really matters, this could be a great fit.

Key Responsibilities

Booking and coordinating transport and storage

Managing logistics documentation, including customs paperwork

Creating sales and purchase orders and handling invoicing

Liaising with subcontractors and checking invoices

Supporting the sales team with arrivals, deliveries, and customer queries

Carrying out weekly stock checks and reporting

Organising and maintaining files and product specifications

Communicating with customers and suppliers via phone and email

Supporting wider office and logistics operations as required

Occasionally visiting other companies within the Unique Seafood Group

About You

You're organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Ideally, you'll already have experience in logistics, supply chain, or a similar administrative role and feel confident juggling tasks, speaking to customers and suppliers, and taking ownership of your work.

We're just as interested in attitude and potential as we are in experience. If you're keen to learn, ask questions, and get stuck in, you'll be supported by a knowledgeable team as you settle into the role and continue to develop.

You'll likely be someone who:

Is confident communicating by phone and email

Is naturally organised with strong attention to detail and good problem-solving abilities

Can manage priorities and work well under pressure

Works well independently and as part of a team

Has good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook

Is reliable, organised, and able to work independently

Bonus points if you have:

Previous logistics, shipping, or transport experience
