Job Description

Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the logistics and supply chain processes, ensuring efficient transportation and delivery of goods. This position requires strong analytical abilities, effective communication skills, and experience with various logistics software systems.

Key Accountabilities

1. Inventory & Stock management



- Receive and accept materials on site, populate reports for delivery and checklists.

- Inspection of the delivered materials in terms of quality and quantity.

- Monitor and manage the stock of materials on site.

- Distributing and allocating materials to the teams on site.

- Ensure adequate stock levels to prevent delays and manage warehouse operations.

- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements.

2. Transportation & Delivery:



- Coordinate the booking and scheduling of freight and transport services to move goods to and from sites.

- Plan efficient routes for delivery of equipment to solar installation locations.

3. Supplier & Vendor Relations:



- Act as the primary contact for logistics-related matters with customer, suppliers and other partners.

4. Documentation & Compliance:



- Ensure accurate and timely processing and management of all shipping and receiving documents.

- Oversee the preparation and maintenance of purchase orders.

- Implement and ensure adherence to health & safety and environmental procedures within the logistics process.

5. Problem-Solving & Process Improvement:



- Proactively identify and resolve any bottlenecks, issues or delays in the supply chain.

- Work with both internal and external teams (sales, technical support) to ensure seamless project execution

Knowledge/Skills/Experience required

Organisational Skills:



Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and complex logistics operations.

Communication Skills:


Clear and effective communication with clients, suppliers and internal departments.

Analytical Skills:


Ability to analyse data from shipping and delivery processes to identify issues and

improve efficiency.

Problem-Solving Skills:


A proactive and hands-on approach to resolving challenges in the supply chain.

Attention to Detail:


Crucial for accurate record-keeping, documentation

IT Proficiency:


Experience with logistics information systems and software for tracking and managing

orders.

Job Type: Temp to perm
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: 25,000.00-27,000.00 per year
