Logistics Coordinator



Based in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire - On site



Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5pm (45-minute lunch break)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team in our Stoke on Trent office. Reporting to the Logistics Team Leader, the ideal candidate will have previous experience planning deliveries, organising transport and any other associated transport administration tasks. They will have a positive "can do" attitude and be flexible enough to adapt to a wide range of duties in a growing business.

Key responsibilities include;



Keeping accurate records

Maintaining health and safety standards

Producing proof of delivery for customers

Import & export documentation management

Investigating operational queries and providing resolutions

Taking telephone calls from both customers and suppliers

Managing Supplier invoices - checking off and amending PO

Despatching orders within Sage

Organising transport with couriers, hauliers and third-party providers

Offer support to offer departments to provide operational assistance.

Supplier reviews

Managing and review of Logistics non-conformance

Raising claims with hauliers

Calls to site to check requirements and book in deliveries

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:



Strong attention to detail

Excellent administration skills

Enthusiastic, committed and reliable

Ability to work in a collaborative environment

Excellent customer focus, both internal and external

The ability to deal with customer queries/complaints in a diplomatic manner

Confidence and ability to engage effectively with people at all levels, both in person and by telephone

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook with experience in Stock Control systems desirable

Experience with import/export procedures desirable
