We are looking for a highly organized and customer-focused Logistics and Customer Service Representative to join our operations team as maternity cover. This is a fixed-term position for an initial period of 9 months, with the potential to be extended to 12 months or converted into a permanent full-time role, subject to business needs.
This dual-role position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance customer communication with hands-on logistics responsibilities. The ideal candidate will manage incoming and outgoing shipments, monitor stock levels, and ensure a seamless customer service experience across multiple communication channels including email, live chat, and WhatsApp.
Duties
Customer Service (50%)
Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via email, live chat, and WhatsApp.
Provide order updates, resolve delivery issues, and assist with returns or complaints.
Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering timely and accurate information.
Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to resolve customer queries effectively.
Record and track customer interactions using CRM or support tools.
Logistics & Stock Management (50%)
Process inbound deliveries: receive, inspect, and log incoming stock.
Handle outbound shipments: pick, pack, and dispatch orders accurately and on time.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure stock availability.
Conduct regular stock counts and investigate discrepancies.
Provide support to our e-commerce team, ensuring stock required for live streams and social campaigns is pulled, recorded and logged back into stock.
Requirements
Proven experience in a customer service role (ideally in e-commerce, retail, or distribution).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Comfortable using email platforms, chat systems, and mobile messaging tools (e.g., WhatsApp Business)
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Desirable (not essential)
Familiarity with Zendesk platform
Knowledge of international shipping processes and customs procedures.
