Purpose of Role

To ensure the safe and efficient transportation of goods, materials, and equipment between company sites and client locations, while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Loading and Unloading:

Safely load and unload goods from the company van, ensuring items are properly secured to prevent damage during transit. Site clearance from central area. Handle materials in accordance with health and safety guidelines, including manual handling best practices.

Transportation:

Drive company vehicles to deliver goods to various sites across England and Wales, following planned routes and schedules. Conduct pre-journey vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly.

Compliance & Safety:

Adhere to all road traffic laws and company driving policies. Maintain accurate delivery logs and ensure all documentation is completed correctly.

Customer Interaction:

Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients and site personnel. Communicate effectively with dispatch and site teams to coordinate deliveries.

Additional Duties:

Assist with basic vehicle upkeep (e.g., oil checks, tire pressure). Support warehouse operations when required, including stock handling and storage.

Skills & Qualifications

Full UK driving license (Category B). Experience in logistics or delivery driving preferred. Ability to plan routes and manage time effectively. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Physically fit for manual handling tasks.

Working Conditions

Travel across multiple sites in England and Wales. Flexible working hours, including early starts and occasional overtime.
