Mecc Alte UK manufacture a wide range of industrial alternators from it's plant in Oakham, working closely with its parent company based in Italy) and its customers to ensure top quality products are delivered throughout the product lifecycle.

We have an opportunity for an experienced Logistics & Exports Coordinator with SAP experience.

The main responsibilities are to arrange export shipments and coordinate customer collections. The position will provide a clear link between customers, sales, warehouse, and freight providers.

Key Accountabilities/Role & Main Responsibilities



Duties Include:



Compile packing lists

Release delivery notes for planned shipments

Book and prebook vehicles and containers to support timely collection of goods.

Complete export paperwork (e.g. EUR1, COO, customs information)

Monitor timely delivery paperwork completion to support invoicing

Track freight costs and recharging where appropriate

Direct shipments / customer collections from other Mecc Alte locations to be arranged as needed.

Maintain mapping of customer to freight provider with customer and freight provider contact details

Other sales office administration duties to support the wider Sales team.

The above list of duties are not exhaustive, therefore you may be asked to perform other reasonable duties, as and when required, to ensure sufficient running of the business.

Essential Skills and Experience for Overall Role:



Skills and Ability



Candidate should have a strong background in logistics/export processing

Knowledge of exports/freight as will be involved in organising the shipping of goods via truck and/container across the world. In addition, an understanding of the manufacturing environment and associated dispatch deadlines and challenges would be highly beneficial.

Experience in both sales order processing and export of goods from the UK

Excellent communication skills

The ideal candidate should have a high level of sales administration experience in a fast moving sales production environment ideally in the engineering manufacturing industry

Experience of current UK export control regulations and government agency requirements, customer-focus driven.

Ideally knowledge of Incoterms (2020) and customs regulations

Minimum 2 years' experience in related manufacturing environment

SAP system experience, or other ERP platform.

Hours of Work

: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday - core operations hours are 0545-1700hrs. Flexibility is required when business needs require

No Hybrid working available with this role as it is key for job holder to be onsite working closely with Sales and Warehouse team members.

Salary and Benefits:



Basic Salary upto 36,000 - dependant on experience of candidate

Annual Income from Operations Bonus scheme (upto 7% of salary) subject to achievement of company targets

Holidays - 20 days holiday increasing with service to max of 25 days plus Bank Holidays

5% employer contributed Pension Scheme (eligible after 3 months service)

4 x salary death in service benefit scheme (eligible after 3 months service)
