Job Description

Alliance is looking for a Logistics Manager for a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity commencing May/June 2025.



We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Manager (12 month FTC) to oversee the 3PL and 4PL Logistics and Inventory operations supporting UK, EMEA, and global businesses.

Join us during a dynamic phase of change to enhance our supply chain performance and strategic goals.

You will manage a direct team of five people and be based at our UK headquarters in Chippenham two days a week on a hybrid full time (37.5 hours a week) fixed term contract basis.

If you possess the following experience, we want to connect with you:



Experience with 3rd party logistics providers, preferably in consumer healthcare, pharma, or FMCG sectors. Proven ability in team leadership, fostering strong communication and interpersonal skills. Track record of introducing new strategies and streamlining processes within a worldwide logistics framework. Successful navigation of logistics transformations. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365.

The key responsibilities for the Logistics Manager at Alliance will be to



Define & evolve future global logistics strategy, managing the logistics budget effectively Manage all third-party logistics service partners contracts: Alloga UK; Alloga FR, RHL US; CEVA; Kuehne & Nagel; Gefco; & others as relevant. Manage and develop the Logistics & Stock Control teams which comprises of five people, all based in the UK. Identify, implement and manage all logistics & inventory activities and opportunities including KPIs, continuous improvement and cost optimisation projects, as well as due diligence & integration support for new acquisitions. Manage & co-ordinate all stock control and reconciliation activity. Represent logistics requirements on other company projects as required, e.g. ERP development. Develop global logistics activities to ensure operation within the framework of Good Distribution Practice regulations. Provide global logistics expertise for both daily operations & special projects (new product or market launches etc) across the wider Alliance business. Ensure all logistics operations comply with local, national, and international regulations, including transportation laws, customs, and trade compliance. Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary updates to policies and procedures. Monitor and enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards throughout the supply chain.
