Job Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Logistics Manager to oversee and enhance our logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the supply chain processes, ensuring efficient shipping and receiving, and optimising warehouse management systems. This role requires strong leadership abilities and a keen understanding of business processes within the logistics sector.

Duties



Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Oversee the entire supply chain process, from materials handling to shipping and receiving. Manage inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods. Utilise data analysis skills to monitor performance metrics and identify areas for improvement. Supervise warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and best practices. Train and mentor staff on logistics procedures, including picking packing techniques and forklift operation. Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and other logistics-related documentation. Collaborate with other departments to streamline business processes and enhance overall operational performance.

Qualifications



Proven experience in logistics management or a related field. Proficiency in using AS400 or similar warehouse management systems. Strong understanding of supply chain principles and materials handling practices. Excellent data analysis skills to interpret logistics data effectively. Familiarity with shipping receiving processes and regulations. Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
