Job purpose

Your role as logistics operator involves the control and movement of all rich waste materials, coming from Production departments on the Royston site. Logistics support the production departments, through management of rich waste streams and timely transfer of materials to Brimsdown for recycling. Good control of external storage areas and inventory management is an essential role, in controlling metal lock up and borrowings.

Your responsibilities:

Adhering to all EHS & Security policies and procedures

Complying fully with all Standard Operating Procedures

Operating all mobile plant and equipment safely (Counterbalance, Reach)

Receiving waste materials internally from production areas.

Detailed checking of container labelling and recording of inventory.

Preparation of site residues/waste for shipment to refining or third-party handler.

Requirements for the role:

Good level of literacy and numeracy (GCSE Grades A-C in Maths & English or equivalent) (GCSE Grades A-C in Maths & English or equivalent)

IT literate (Microsoft Office)

Forklift truck license (counterbalance)

Reach truck license

Basic understanding of Lean Principles in manufacturing, including 5S and Standard Work

Knowledge of Global Hazardous Signage and labelling

Due to the nature of this role applicants must be non-smokers and have been free from nicotine products for at least 3 months.
