We are seeking an experienced

Logistics Coordinator

to join our operations team. You will be responsible for coordinating the movements of our self-employed and subcontracted drivers across the UK, ensuring timely vehicle collection and delivery, while responding effectively to real-time challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Allocate drivers to jobs based on daily plans, locations, and availability. Manage driver operations and resolve in-transit issues such as breakdowns, delays, or last-minute changes. Communicate clearly with drivers via phone and internal messaging systems throughout the day. Maintain accurate updates in our transport management system (TMS). Liaise with internal teams including Planning, Recruitment, and Customer Service. Support onboarding and offboarding of drivers, and reinforce professional conduct standards. Provide emergency support on a shared out-of-hours rota. Escalate risks or repeated issues to management where appropriate.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in transport coordination, fleet operations, or driver scheduling is essential. Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to stay calm under pressure. Confident using transport software, spreadsheets, and internal systems. A proactive problem-solver who can adapt to changing priorities. A team player, flexible and reliable, with a professional approach.
