Following the award of several major infrastructure projects in the North East of England, we are seeking experienced Logistics Project Managers to join our team and play a key role in delivering these landmark projects.

Key Responsibilities

:

Develop comprehensive construction logistics plans (CLP) covering site access, traffic management, storage, deliveries, waste, and workforce movement. Identify logistical risks and create mitigation strategies. Coordinate early with designers, contractors, and suppliers to integrate logistics into project planning. Plan and manage material flow from supplier to installation point. Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, hauliers, and site teams to ensure timely and coordinated material delivery. Ensure compliance with project specifications, sustainability requirements, and regulatory standards. Develop and implement traffic management plans (TMPs). Ensure all logistics operations comply with H&S regulations, CDM requirements, and site-specific rules. Conduct audits, inspections, and toolbox talks. Lead logistics teams and oversee workforce scheduling, training, and performance. Develop logistics budgets and track logistics costs. Produce progress reports, KPIs, dashboards, and updates for senior management. Negotiate logistics contracts and service agreements. Act as the logistics interface between client, contractors, local authorities, transport agencies, and the public.

Person Specification:



A track record of delivery within a logistics function (over the past 3 years) that has led to performance improvement e.g. cost reduction, process/service enhancements, innovation, winning work etc. Personal commitment to promoting a sustainable approach to logistic procurement and supply chain development. Excellent communication skills that build empathy and support, engage with individuals at all levels, influence, promote. Intellectual capacity to deal with complex logistics issues, and to implement logistics and supply chain vision, strategy and priorities. A driver of performance improvement. Excellent IT skills An inspirational manager that can get the best out of individuals and teams. Can build consensus, work in a matrix structure, deliver performance and outcomes, and drive the professional and personal development of team members. Manage suppliers Has a can do attitude and leads by example. Customer Focused

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 80,000.00-90,000.00 per year
