Job Description

TruFrame is the largest independent manufacturer of uPVC windows and doors in the UK. Drawing on over twenty years' experience in the industry we are a fast-growing and ever-evolving business, who are looking for someone to come and join us.

The Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring a safe environment with all company policies and procedures being followed, managing the productivity and reporting on all aspects of the shift as required.

The Supervisor will need to have good numeracy skills, a good standard of written English and be able to meet tight deadlines (accurately and quickly).

This is also a physical/ hands on role, which will include working outside.

Night shift:

Runs from 14:00pm to 22:00pm - Monday - Friday

The hourly rate of 17.38 per hour includes a shift premium of 6.50 which is paid after completion of 7.5 hours work on this shift. This hourly rate also includes a discretionary bonus.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Set up each shift with a daily briefing. Complete various Company staff and attendance registers. Ensure that the shift are aware of (and follow) relevant Company policies and procedures (and highlight any concerns to the Despatch Manager). Undertake return to work interviews with shift members following absenteeism (as required). Undertake investigations. Support the Despatch Manager when undertaking departmental inductions for new starters. Ensure that the shift are aware (and actively participate in) safe working practices. Take an active role in the Health & Safety initiatives within the shift. Deputise for the Despatch Manager/other shift Supervisors e.g. to cover holidays, sickness and other needs (as and when required). Assist (and work with) the Despatch Manager to ensure that effective communication occurs between all shifts. Support the Despatch Manager in ensuring that loading errors are kept to a minimum. Ensure that there is a sufficient and effective handover (for the next shift). Deal with customer and overnight collections. Overview the wrapping and loading teams. Deal with driver queries. Attend monthly departmental review meetings.

Person Specification:

Previous experience in a supervisory role. Valid UK driving licence (desirable). Good numeracy skills. Good standard of written English. Good proof-reading skills. Ability to follow reasonable instructions and meet tight deadlines (accurately and quickly). Ability to solve problems and make decisions effectively and efficiently. Ability to communicate clearly at all levels. Self-motivated. Confident team player, prepared to be flexible to meet both the requirements of the team and shift.
