Julius Rutherfoord & Co. is seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor to oversee the efficient management of our stores and inventory operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that supplies, equipment, and materials are properly received, stored, distributed and repaired while maintaining optimal stock levels and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and experience in stock control within a fast-paced environment. They will manage and support the logistics assistant as well as liaise with machinery suppliers to facilitate repairs that cannot be completed in house. The responsibilities below are not exhaustive.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Stock & Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate records of stock levels, parts and equipment.
Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring quality control and compliance with company policies.
Conduct regular stock and equipment checks and audits to prevent discrepancies and shortages.
Implement inventory control measures to reduce waste, theft, and inefficiencies.
Supervision & Team Management:
Supervise and support the logistics assistant to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training to enhance team efficiency.
Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to in all operations.
Logistics & Distribution:
Coordinate with operations, and logistics assistant tester to ensure timely distribution of materials and equipment.
Work closely with suppliers and vendors to track deliveries and resolve any stock-related issues.
Ensure proper documentation for all stock movements, including receipts, transfers, and dispatches.
Compliance & Reporting:
Maintain up-to-date records of inventory transactions using the company's equipment management system.
Prepare and submit reports on equipment levels, usage trends, and any discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Logistics Supervisor, Warehouse Supervisor, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of inventory management, stock control systems, and supply chain processes.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
Full clean UK driving licence.
A good command of English Language.
Desirable Skills:
Experience in the cleaning, facilities management, or logistics industry is an advantage.
Electrical qualifications.
