Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Logistics /Van Driver to join our team here on Skye. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe transportation of goods within our supply chain to our shops across Scotland. This position requires a strong understanding of business processes related to shipping and receiving, as well as experience in materials handling and warehouse operations. The Van Driver will be responsible for maintaining efficient logistics while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a van to transport goods to various locations in Scotland as per the delivery schedule. Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed to prevent damage. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including documentation of shipping and receiving processes. Collaborate with warehouse staff to facilitate efficient picking and packing of items for dispatch. Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any maintenance issues promptly. Assist in data analysis related to delivery performance and logistics efficiency. Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations during transportation activities.

Requirements

Proven experience in supply chain management or logistics is highly desirable. Familiarity with business processes related to shipping, receiving, and materials handling. Experience working with third-party logistics (3PL) providers is an advantage. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A valid driving licence with a clean driving record is essential. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required for effective collaboration with team members and clients.

Pay: 12.60-13.50 per hour
