London Spirit is a professional cricket franchise competing in The Hundred, England and Wales Cricket Board's (ECB) ground-breaking 100-ball competition. Based at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground, the team embodies both the historic prestige of the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and the innovation of modern sport. Following the ECB's 2024-25 sale process, the franchise has entered a new chapter with an ownership structure that brings together the MCC with a consortium of global business leaders. This partnership creates a unique platform for London Spirit to expand its international profile, accelerate digital fan engagement, and position itself as a leading global sports brand.

DIMENSIONS OF ROLE

Normal working hours will be 09.00 to 17.00, Monday to Friday (inclusive), including one-hour unpaid lunch on each day worked; making a total of 35 working hours per week.

KEY PURPOSE OF ROLE

This is a unique, generational opportunity to join London Spirit, a franchise at the forefront of a new era for cricket. Following a highly successful franchise sale that generated over 500m for reinvestment into the sport, The Hundred has brought energised new investors and stakeholders into the game. London Spirit, based at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground, led the way by achieving the greatest valuation in the sale - 2.4 times the next largest.

Our ambition is unapologetically bold: to build the most successful and valuable cricket franchise in the world.

YOUR IMPACT

We are seeking a proactive and motivated Sales lead to drive the team's new business outreach and unlock new revenue streams. You will play a pivotal role in the franchise's success, with a direct focus on identifying, securing, and supporting management of new partnerships. You will be responsible for bringing in significant revenue across all commercial streams, including sponsorship, premium seating, group ticket sales, and other new growth areas, including digital monetisation.

You will open new commercial doors within London and the broader markets, while aligning with the strategies of our key stakeholders, namely the MCC and The Hundred (ECB). As we grow, you will also play a key role in building out a team to support long-term commercial success.

KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Proactively identify, prospect, and secure new revenue opportunities from conception, initial outreach to negotiation and closing. Develop and pitch compelling sponsorship proposals that align with our brand and our partners' objectives. Collaborate with internal and external teams to maximise opportunities and optimise commercial relationships with the MCC and The Hundred. Work closely with the partnership management team to ensure best-in-class delivery and renewal of all deals. Support the development of a world-class fan engagement strategy in collaboration with the marketing and digital team to enhance fan and customer experiences, and to drive new revenue opportunities.
