Active Outreach Services is a fast-growing provider of educational and mentoring support for children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We are currently going through an exciting period of growth, expanding our team and services to meet increasing demand. We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Recruiter to join our team.
Role Overview
This is a remote role however we prefer Essex/London based. Skills include someone with good communication, co-ordination, and recruitment skills. You will be responsible for attracting, screening, and co-ordinating recruitment for a range of roles, including Tutors, Mentors, You will ensure compliance and safer recruitment standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
Post job adverts across various platforms (Indeed, social media, recruitment boards)
Screen CVs and applications, shortlisting candidates who meet Active Outreach's criteria
Ensure all candidates meet legal and compliance requirements (Enhanced DBS, references, right to work checks)
Maintain clear and accurate recruitment records
Set up & arrange interviews/phone assessments
Follow safer recruitment policies/procedures throughout the process
Maintain communication with candidates post-interview regarding outcome and on-boarding steps
Assist with building and managing a pipeline of strong candidates for ongoing recruitment needs
Requirements
Strong organisation and communication skills
Comfortable using digital tools (e.g. email, Microsoft 365/Teams, calendars, basic file management)
Good attention to detail -- especially when handling compliance (e.g., DBS, references)
Good telephone manner
Comfortable speaking with candidates professionally
Willing to follow safer recruitment practices
Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
Familiarity with SharePoint is a bonus -- training will be provided if needed
