Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Barista to join our cafe team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, exceptional customer service skills, and prior experience working in a fast-paced food or beverage environment. This role involves preparing beverages, serving customers, and maintaining a clean and welcoming cafe atmosphere. Candidates with proficiency in POS systems and food safety standards are highly preferred. Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and beverages with precision and consistency Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for transactions Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cashiering duties accurately Maintain cleanliness of the cafe area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces Ensure food safety standards are followed during food handling and preparation Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic food handling and serving Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods Support sales efforts by promoting menu items and upselling when appropriate Follow all health and safety regulations related to food industry standards

Qualifications

Previous barista experience in a cafe or food service environment is required Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is highly desirable Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and sales transactions Familiarity with food safety protocols, food preparation, and serving standards Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during shifts Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Experience with coffee brewing techniques and beverage customization is preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21-12.24 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
