Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5 Tonne Lorry Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage time effectively. Experience with flatbed lorries is preferred, as well as a solid background in commercial driving.

Responsibilities

Operate flatbed lorries to transport goods to designated locations in a timely manner Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance Maintain accurate delivery records, including logs of hours worked and mileage driven Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver with a strong understanding of road safety regulations Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) with a clean driving record Experience with flatbed lorries is highly desirable Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation software
