On a day-day basis you will be required to travel regularly to different locations across the UK being responsible for the safe delivery and collection of projects to sites. While driving will be your main role you will also be required to undertake duties within the warehouse such as forklift driving and loading/unloading vehicles. As the public face of the company you will be well presented, communicate professionally with sites and promote the positive brand image of the business. You will be proactive, efficient, punctual and have a strong sense of responsibility in your approach to the role to ensure that business success is achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete a daily truck log and submit reports of mileage covered at EOD
Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately
Manage routes so they proceed in the most efficient way possible
Arrange for delivery and collection of vehicles to service depots in accordance with the service contract
Arrange and collect reusable pallets from customer sites wherever reasonably possible
Find ways to conserve resources, including fuel, to benefit the business
Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public
Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle at the end of the shift and report any problems or damage to management
Keep your vehicle clean inside and out and make sure it is always well presented
Assist within the warehouse and on site as required
Be aware of and follows all H&S procedures at all times
Adopt a flexible approach to working hours to suit the needs of the business. This may on occasion incur very early starts or late arrival back, or overnight stay if circumstances dictate.
General:
Identify areas of weakness and make recommendations for improvements to training, performance, KPI (Key Performance Indicator) improvements, reduction in costs and other efficiencies

Forklift experience is a bonus
GCSEs or equivalent
Class C driving licence with no points
No serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years
No Drink/Drug Driving in last 10 years
2+ years' commercial driving experience required
