Lost Wax Operator

SALARY:

12.45 per hour

DEPARTMENT:

Lost Wax Department

DAYS/HOURS:

39 Hours per week - Days (Monday - Friday)

Monday - Wednesday 7.30am - 4.30pm

Thursday 7.30am - 4pm

Friday 7.30am - 1pm

REPORTS TO:

Lost Wax Team Leader

in Crewkerne has been a successful foundry business for over 100 years. We are currently looking for a Lost Was Operative to support our busy Lost Wax department.

JOB PURPOSE:

We are looking to recruit highly motivated general operative to join our Wax Room who are willing to learn and develop in a manufacturing environment.

The role will involve working as part of a team; demonstrating flexibility with a willingness to learn and embrace new skills.

Successful candidates will demonstrate a keen eye for detail and dexterity in handling small parts.

Previous experience of working in a Manufacturing environment producing small parts and operating machinery is desired but not essential, as full training will be provided.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Making wax patterns, operating machinery, and ensuring customer quality standards are always maintained Accurately complete Production Cards accompanying each job, clearly identifying scrap or non-conformities Ensure all work is carried out safely Ensure all equipment is in a safe and serviceable condition Enforce and promote safety and housekeeping in your area of work Meggit Bench (fettling) Shot blast Metal inspection Straightening the parts

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE/KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Prior experience in a manufacturing environment desired Will maintain a neat and organized work area Working with safety in mind at all times and comply with EHS policies

Ability to foresee the possibility of a risk occurring Hardworking and detail-oriented individual Ability to work in a team and independently as and when required Ability to effectively and efficiently handle pressure and keep to working schedules Ability to take instruction Demonstrate the ability to manual handle objects

Hands-on and not afraid to be flexible Have a good understanding of health and safety
