Dorsett Hospitality International is set to open Dorsett Canary Wharf, in Q3 2025, in Canary Wharf, London. This area forms a strategically significant part of London's world city offer for financial, media and business services. We are recruiting for Night Front Office Associates to join the team at Dorsett Canary Wharf.

The Role

The Luggage Porter is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests during arrival, stay, and departure by assisting with luggage handling, delivering VIP amenities, and ensuring a welcoming and orderly front-of-house environment. As a visible representative of the hotel, the Luggage Porter upholds the highest standards of professionalism and courtesy, contributing to a seamless and memorable guest experience.

Work Hour and Schedule

8-hour shift Work on a scheduled shift rota, including availability on weekends and public holidays

Brief Responsibilities

Greet guests in a courteous and professional manner upon arrival and departure. Assist with the safe handling, transport, and storage of guest luggage. Escort guests to their rooms when required, providing a brief introduction to room features and hotel facilities. Support guests with transportation needs, including arranging taxis or assisting with luggage loading/unloading. Tag, store, and retrieve luggage efficiently, ensuring proper documentation and security. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the luggage storage area. Ensure prompt delivery and collection of luggage to/from guest rooms and vehicles. Conduct regular checks of stored luggage to ensure accuracy, security, and readiness for guest retrieval. Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries and service requests. Assist other departments, including Front Desk, during high-traffic periods or as directed. Assist with room moves, guest mobility requests, and delivery of parcels or guest items. Support emergency procedures, including guest evacuations, under the direction of hotel management.

A bit about us

Dorsett Canary Wharf will have 231 guestrooms. The hotel will accommodate front-of-house facilities including a cafe on Alpha Square, a restaurant, a gym and conference facility at the lower levels and a sky bar/terrace on level 25.

The hotel is within a 5-15 minute walk of Canary Wharf Underground Station, DLR stations, and the Elizabeth Line station. The hotel will also be well connected to the local bus network and is within walking distance of riverboat services operating from Canary Wharf Pier to Central London.
