Lunchtime Assistant - Join Our Busy Kitchen & Support Our Children!
Are you enthusiastic, confident, and ready to work as part of a busy kitchen team while having a hands-on role with children? We are looking for a Lunchtime Assistant who can help create a warm, welcoming mealtime environment and support our young learners during lunch.
Key Responsibilities:
Work as part of the kitchen team, maintaining full awareness of kitchen hygiene standards and safe food preparation. Provide a friendly and welcoming mealtime space for children. Work closely with the children, selecting a daily lunchtime helper to assist with table setting, fostering independence, and encouraging teamwork. Support children throughout their mealtime, using the opportunity to promote skills such as proper use of cutlery, table manners, and confidence to try new foods. Oversee meal service, assisting with the independent serving of meals and drinks. Take responsibility for mealtime clean-up between sittings, including washing pots, cleaning tables, and sweeping/mopping floors as needed.
Training in Food Hygiene and Allergen Awareness is preferred but not essential.

Expected hours
:17.5 hours per week
(Monday - Friday 10.30am - 2pm)
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 12.21 per hour
