Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant

Grade 24,796 pro rata

6.25 hours a week, term time only

Permanent

Required as soon as possible



The Governors of this popular primary school seek to appoint a Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant who is wholly committed to becoming an integral member of our hard-working and dedicated team.




The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate skills in the following areas:



Interact with children and adults in a friendly and professional manner, upholding the Rights Respecting ethos of our school; To demonstrate active listening skills in order to listen to what pupils say; To actively encourage all pupils to eat their lunches; To promote respectful table manners through the schools Rights Respecting Dining Room Charter; Good communication and literacy skills; A good role model (speech, dress, behaviour); A caring and positive attitude, reflecting our Rights Respecting School ethos; High expectations of behaviour; Ability to respond to a variety of situations; Commitment to equal opportunities; Self-motivated and reliable; Have a sense of humour and willingness to work as part of a team; Have a commitment to the whole life of the school; To effectively report to the Head Teacher.



This position is paid whole time with retainer adjustments applied to periods of school closure. You will not be required to work during the school closure periods however your salary in these periods will be adjusted accordingly in line with the retainer regulations as specified in the National Joint Council (NJC) Green Book agreement.
