Our vehicles are in effect land yachts with interiors that are constructed and maintained to a very high standard.

Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled person to join our team of coach builders converting and maintaining high-end luxury leisure vehicles.

Requirements

10+ years of experience

Proven experience in carpentry (to a cabinet making standard), coach building, welding & fabricating with advanced knowledge of the application of these skills to luxury vehicles and/or yachts (ideally luxury leisure or utility vehicles)

Ideally experience and knowledge of AC and DC electrical installation, leisure vehicle heating, air conditioning and hot and cold water installation.

Needs to have a keen eye for detail and the ability to work to an extremely high finish

Must be reliable and have good time keeping

Must be able to work well in a team

Must have the ability to fault find and problem solve

NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry (or experience demonstrating similar competency)

Good understanding of Health and Safety at work (with relevant training course certificates)

Ideally with background in one or more of the following luxury market sectors - luxury leisure vehicles, high-end yachts/motorboats, bespoke horse boxes with living quarters, custom built film and TV location vehicles and hand-crafted private jet interior fit out

Examples of ideal skills and experience

High-end cabinet making and fine finish joinery including assembly and installation

Layout and construction of internal furniture (beds, kitchens, tables, bathrooms, bulkheads, etc)

Design, cutting, bending and construction of complex parts using metal, wood, Corian,and other materials

Hot glue edge banding

Scribing of high value panels to a fine tolerance

Resin and Granite, Quartz, Corian worktop templating and installation

High pressure laminate and solid wood worktop mitring and installation

Design flooring installation (Karndean, Amtico)

Wall and floor tiling to a fine tolerance

Upholstery, vinyl work and trimming of panels and seats to an advance level

12v, 24v and 240v AC and DC distribution and charge circuit design, installation, alternation, battery isolation

Solar charge circuit systems installation

Hot and cold water system (e.g. toilets, sinks and showers) and diesel installation

Air conditioning and heating, and diesel installation

Ancillary item installation, skylights, fans, bonded windows, Internal and external doors, etc

Slide room construction and installation

Sheet metal, box section and aluminium fabrication including cutting, folding, manual bending and MIG welding

Installation and repair of doors, locks and latches

Lamp to LED conversions, CanBus

Installation of AV equipment

Auxiliary and habitation appliance installation service and repair

Reconfiguration of chassis parts (relocation of fuel tanks, air tanks, battery carriers, etc)

Fibreglass mould making, part production, part replication, repair, preparation, filing and sanding

Body and structural accident and corrosion repair work

Installation of various coverings (Rubber, EVA, PVC, Carpet, Vinyl)

PPE Kit provided

Hours

8 hours per day (including a short lunch break). There may be times when additional hours are required.

They will be required to clock in/out on a daily basis using the digital time clock installed in the office.

Our coach building workshop is operational between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, and hours can be worked within this times by agreement with our head coach builder. You may also very occasionally be required to work at weekends but this is rare (on such occasions you will receive time off in lieu during the normal working week).
