About the Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented M&E Clerk of Works to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality construction and refurbishment projects across our portfolio. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in monitoring mechanical and electrical works on-site, ensuring compliance with specifications, standards, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and inspect M&E works across all project phases, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and building regulations.
Identify and report any workmanship or material defects and ensure corrective actions are taken.
Prepare regular site reports and maintain accurate records of progress, tests, and inspections.Ensure all M&E installations meet health and safety requirements and relevant statutory regulations.
Provide technical support and advice during construction phases, including reviewing design documents and resolving site issues.Requirements
Essential:
Proven experience as a Clerk of Works or similar inspection role in M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) works.
Strong knowledge of building services, including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
Excellent attention to detail and strong written/reporting skills.CSCS card and a full UK driving licence.
Membership of the Institute of Clerk of Works and Construction Inspectorate (ICWCI) or relevant professional body.What We Offer
