Job Profile

The Microsoft 365 Senior Engineer is responsible for architecting, designing, testing, and implementing products and services within CTO Client & Collaboration. The jobholder will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality Cloud services to over 275,000 colleagues across all countries and regions where HSBC operates.

\xc2\xb7 Act as an SME accountable for the Design, definition, and pathway to production for several critical Microsoft 365 components (e.g M365 Tenant Administration, SharePoint, Teams, Office, OneDrive, amongst others)

\xc2\xb7 Has the highest level of technical understanding of the M365 and Azure components, and remains informed of the latest developments from Microsoft .

\xc2\xb7 Focus on automation, scalability and fast-paced delivery of complex technical solutions.

\xc2\xb7 Will be part of a team that performs sustainable continuous improvement, identifying and removing organisational barriers affecting the team, processes and products owned

\xc2\xb7 Have a customer-centric mindset, constantly looking for ways to improve the services we provide and helping our business partners to solve problems that will result in increased productivity, colleague satisfaction, and help HSBC deliver shareholder value.

\xc2\xb7 Maintain an agile mind-set by adopting the practices and processes identified as being required for our new pods, leveraging agile delivery methods, associated frameworks (e.g., Lean) and Bank tools (e.g., JIRA) to do this

\xc2\xb7 Understand and follow the IT CTO strategy and vision

\xc2\xb7 Identify continuous improvement opportunities within the team, focusing on automation, process improvement, how technology is best leveraged and technology shift opportunities

Requirements

Key Skills:

  • Significant experience working in an IT function in large multinational companies (preferably in the Finance or other regulated industries)
  • Demonstratable knowledge and technical expertise in the following areas:
  • Azure / Azure AD, Azure DevOps Terraform Pipeline
  • M365 Desired Stated Configuration modules (DSC)
  • PowerShell scripting (build/test/run/debug)
  • Information Barriers (policy definition and management)
  • Compliance Centre / Purview
  • Data Retention policies
  • M365 Applicatoin Integration
  • Conditional Access Policies
  • Other types of coding/automation/pipeline experience is a plus
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with partners across technical and non-technical areas.
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills \xe2\x80\x93 demonstrate good judgement and a excellent level of written communication to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to articulate complex technical issues concisely, in non-technical verbiage.
  • Be commercially astute, navigating the complexities of multiple 3rd party vendors.
  • Knowledge and experience of using agile delivery methods and tools to implement both tactical and strategic changes is desired.
