Your Role and What You\'ll Be Doing

As the M&A Manager, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be tasked with managing merger and acquisition projects on behalf of all the businesses in the Group. Working closely with the Group M&A Officer, the Head of M&A Delivery and senior leaders, you\xe2\x80\x99ll manage multi-disciplinary teams to complete M&A transactions effectively, maximising value and minimising risk to the Group. This is a diverse and challenging role, which will require you to build excellent working relationships across the business and negotiate effectively at the highest levels.

  • Conducting market research, identify potential target businesses and manage the targeting process
  • Working closely with members of the Commercial Growth Team to turn insight into strategy
  • Preparation of financial analysis to ensure M&A offers achieve the Group\xe2\x80\x99s investment criteria
  • Managing and coordinating the due diligence and completion process, involving necessary internal and external resources
  • Managing relationships with qualified external advisers, for both target identification and project delivery
  • Coordinating all regulatory and other stakeholder (e.g. lender) approvals prior to deal completion
  • Producing post-completion analysis, learnings and process improvements for future adoption (including reporting on the delivery of synergies).
  • Maintaining strong relationships with Finance, GCT, IT, HR and other functions
About You
  • Strong project management skills with experience managing senior stakeholders
  • Commercial outlook, with the ability to seek, recognise and optimise value
  • Previous M&A experience would be beneficial, along with financial qualifications and experience; either accountancy or similar commercial qualification
  • Knowledge of SRA and FCA regulations in relation to M&A desirable
