Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery used in the manufacturing process. You will play a crucial part in ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently while adhering to safety standards and quality control measures.

Duties

Operate machinery such as mills and welding equipment to fabricate components as per specifications. Set up and adjust machines for optimal performance, including tooling changes and basic troubleshooting. Assemble parts and products using hand tools and machinery, ensuring precision and quality in every task. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify any maintenance needs or safety hazards. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times. Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines effectively.

Skills

Proficient in CAD software for design purposes is highly advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex machinery operations. Experience with tooling processes, including setting up and adjusting equipment for production runs. Familiarity with milling processes and techniques for fabricating components. Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks during production. Competence in using hand tools safely and effectively for assembly tasks. Previous experience in a warehouse environment is beneficial, particularly in machine operation roles.
