Job Description

Swemko UK Limited, established in 1975, is a leading supplier of industrial machine knives and precision grinding services across the UK and are seeking an individual to work as a machine operator and driver to join our dynamic team.

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining grinding machinery used in the sharpening and reconditioning of industrial machine knives. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality.

We also require this individual to work as a driver covering holidays and sickness, delivering to customers around the South East of England.

Full training is given but what we are seeking is an open minded individual that is willing to learn new skills and take on all challenges presented through their career.

The right candidate will be available for an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

Operate grinding machines to sharpen industrial knives to precise specifications Inspect and measure finished products to ensure quality standards are met Follow health and safety procedures at all times Work with team members and supervisors to meet production targets Multi-drop collection and deliveries Good communication skills while interacting with customers

Job Requirements

An interest in using machinery daily Enthusiastic attitude to work Strong attention to detail and quality control Specific experience not required but previous experience with machines favoured
