Total regular pay: 29,115 (salary 25,615 + shift allowance 3,500)

Machine Operators run production lines efficiently and including responsibility for the high quality of the product we make. It is a shift-based role, including nights, on a rota which is typically issued at least three months in advance to help you plan your time. You will report to the Production Supervisor and focus on continuous improvement and effective time management. Strong communication skills are vital for collaborating with team members and addressing any operational challenges
It is essential that applicants have experience operating machines safely and accurately, with good numeracy skills and ability to safe perform manual handling tasks.

Key responsibilities include:
Total ownership of lines' performance
Monitoring adherence to standards across lines, ensuring breaches are resolved in a timely and effective way
Communicating effectively with the Lead Operator and the Shift Manager at all times
Supporting the Lead Operator in recording line performance, issues, and areas for improvement
Organise the lines to ensure all materials are available and prepared before they are needed, to reduce downtime
Quickly resolve issues in machines under the guidance and coordination of the Lead Operator or Shift Manager, to start the line up as quickly as possible.
Support Lead Operators in the leadership of the production area, working as directed to support product change overs, rework, cleaning and continuous improvement.

Location:
This is site-based work, in our factory in Basingstoke (RG24 8NU). You will need to be able to reliably commute from where you live, or you will need to be planning to relocate before you start in the role.
Schedule:
Week 1: 2 Day shifts and 2 Night shifts (48 hours)
- Monday and Tuesday Day Shift: 7am to 7pm (0700-1900)
- Thursday and Friday Night Shift: 7pm to 7am (1900-0700)
Week 2: 3 Day shifts (36 hours)
- Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday Day Shift: 7am to 7pm (0700-1900)
Week 3: 3 Night shifts (36 hours)
- Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday Night Shift: 7pm to 7am (1900-0700)
