About Us

Purple Granite Ltd is a leading supplier and installer of high-quality granite and quartz worktops across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are expanding our production team and looking for motivated and practical individuals to join us as a Trainee CNC Machine Operator and Trainee Stone Sawyer. These are excellent opportunities to gain hands-on experience in a specialised and growing industry, with full training provided.

Main Duties (Full training provided)

CNC Machine Operator

Safely and accurately operate CNC machinery to fabricate stone worktops. Read and interpret technical drawings to understand machining requirements. Use a range of fabrication tools and techniques to produce granite and quartz worktops to high quality standards. Carry out routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure consistent performance. Conduct detailed quality checks on finished products, including measurements and surface finish.

Stone Sawyer

Operate and maintain large saws used to cut stone slabs accurately to size. Work from cutting lists and drawings to ensure precision. Handle and position heavy stone slabs safely using lifting equipment. Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on saw machinery. Support other members of the production team to maintain efficiency and workflow.

For both roles

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in line with company health and safety policies. Work collaboratively with the production team to support continuous improvement.

Skills and Qualities

Keen interest in learning the fabrication process of granite and quartz worktops. Willingness to work with hand tools and power tools (full training provided). Basic maths skills to ensure precision in measuring and cutting. Ability to follow instructions carefully, work independently, and collaborate effectively as part of a team. Good communication skills and a proactive attitude towards learning.
