Job Overview

Working a two-shift system (8 hours - mornings/afternoons), changing tooling on rubber and plastic moulding machines.

Whilst prior experiance in this role would be ideal, full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Tasks for the role include:

Installation of rubber and plastic mould tools. Preperation of moulding tools prior to installation, including cleaning and date coding. Working effectively alongside the Production team. Liasing with the Tool Room staff to schedule repairs to damaged tooling. Start-up of the moulding press after tooling installation where required. Maintaining the Tool Changers work area in accordance with 6S principles. Assisting in improvement initiatives in all areas of the company as part of cross-functional teams. Other work as requeired from time to time. (Duties not explicitly related to tool changing but required by the undertakings of the company).

Essential Skills:

A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach. Excellent standard of written and spoken english. Good standard of mathamatical understanding and application. The ability to communicate effectively across all departments. The desire to work well as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. The ideal candidate will also:

Have prior experiance of tool changing injection moulding machines or mechanical engineering. Have prior experience of working under quality systems such as ISO9001, IATF16949 or similar. Have a desire to develop and improve both themselves and the processes.
Renumeration to be discussed during the interview and will be dependent on experience and qualifications, training in the requirements of the role, as well as the opportunity for further professional training and, for the right candidate, the possibility of further advancement within the company.

Pay: 24,420.00-37,582.52 per year
