We have a vacancy within our Manufacturing Department and are currently recruiting for the role of Milling Technician. We are looking for candidates who have relevant and proven experience seeking an opportunity to develop their skills and join a growing Organisation.

Shift Pattern:

39 hours each week with a flexible starting time between 07:00 and 08:00 Monday to Friday, with a flexible finish time between 16:00 and 17:00 Monday to Thursday, and on a Friday, a finish time of 12.00. You will be entitled to a 30-minute unpaid lunch break between 12:00 and 12:30 Monday to Thursday. Additionally, you will have a 10-minute paid break each morning Monday to Friday and a 10-minute paid break each afternoon Monday to Thursday.

Opportunity Summary:

Role Accountabilities:

Provide technical support to the team Create and Maintain SOPs and production documentation Achieve full competency in CNC Programming/Cads Siemens NX Use and control of CNC programs in accordance with relevant procedures. Ability to read and understand CNC code to the level required for machine set up and operation. Understand all set up parameters and the effect that they have on the process, for example, datum setting and tool length and wear offsets. Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures. Complete machining operations efficiently in accordance with Job Card instructions to achieve the required output levels. Provide input for new quotations Mentor and provide training for apprentices, trainees, and new starters Maintain and update the planning board in partnership with Production coordinator and Planning/Production control Apply problem-solving methodologies to define and solve problems at root cause as a method of improving operational performance, in particular on process capability and quality problems.

General responsibilities:

Comply with all company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements. Read and understand the requirements on the Job Card for the operation to be carried out. Ensure that all the documentation required to carry out the operation in accordance with the Job Card is available at the point of use and at the correct revision. Read and understand all manufacturing instructions prior to commencing an operation, this includes Machine and Tooling Set Up Packs as required, Engineering Drawings, Data Cards, Inspection Plans etc. Use of all measuring equipment as defined within Inspection Plans to check conformance to requirements. Carry out in process inspection in accordance with relevant inspection plans to ensure that components are conforming prior to passing on to subsequent operations. Ensure that components identified as non-conforming during in process inspection are identified and communicated in accordance with the Non-Conformance Procedure. Complete all work booking requirements within the MRP system to ensure accurate WIP records. Follow work handling and storage instructions to prevent damage to components. Support Root Cause Analysis activities when non-conformance occurs to prevent reoccurrence. Carry out and record all TPM activities in accordance with the specified schedule for the equipment being operated. Ensure that work areas are tidy, cleaned and maintained in accordance with 5S requirements. Engage and contribute to Continuous Improvement activities to maximise efficiency. Comply with all company procedures and policies
