ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a Machinist to join our dynamic Machine Shop team and play a key role in manufacturing high-precision components for elite motorsport applications, our machinists are integral to continued development.

The role and responsibilities include:

Set, operate, and programme CNC machines to produce complex components from aluminium, steel, and other exotic materials. Writing and proving programs using HyperMill and Heidenhain controls. Operate manual milling machines, lathes, grinders, and hand drills. Work from technical drawings and CAD data to achieve tight tolerances and high-quality finishes. Ensure all components meet M-Sport's strict quality standards and deadlines. Work collaboratively with other Machinists, Design, Engineering, and Assembly departments to deliver continuous improvement. Support the maintenance and cleanliness of machines and the environment.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for a self-motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. The ideal candidate will be:

Educated to a Level 3 certificate or equivalent qualification in Machining. Along with having a strong knowledge and understanding of engineering principles. Strong knowledge of HyperMill, Fanuc and Heidenhain controls. Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and inspect your own work on both small and large batches using various materials to tight tolerances. Skilled in multitasking and prioritising workloads under pressure. Excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for problem solving. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Preferred Experience:

Previous experience in a CNC machining environment, preferably within precision engineering.
