Overview:

We are currently recruiting for a skilled and reliable Industrial Sewing Machinist to join a leading manufacturer of made-to-measure medical compression garments in Nottingham. You will be responsible for producing high-quality products from pre-cut fabrics using industrial sewing machines, maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and quality standards in a supportive and clean working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce made-to-measure garments from pre-cut materials using specialist industrial sewing machines Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient workstation Regularly clean machines to avoid contamination and ensure performance Read and interpret work orders and garment patterns accurately Apply various sewing techniques and operate different machine types (training provided) Quality-check finished garments and make necessary adjustments or repairs Record production outputs using barcode scanning Troubleshoot and report any machine faults Communicate effectively with team members and support collaborative workflow Adhere to all health & safety regulations and company procedures Assist with other duties as reasonably required
Preferred Skills & Experience:

Experience using industrial sewing machines is a strong advantage Some previous sewing or textile experience preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions Ability to remain seated and focused for extended periods Familiarity with various fabrics, trims, and garment construction Capable of working quickly, accurately, and independently in a production environment
Schedule:

Monday to Friday Full-time, 40 hours per week
