Macmillan Lung Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist

Keighley, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate nurse to join us as a Macmillan Lung Cancer Nurse Specialist at Airedale General Hospital.

This is a varied and rewarding role, supporting patients at different points in the lung cancer pathway--some on curative treatment plans, others requiring palliative care. The work is fast-paced and often complex, requiring a calm, confident approach and a strong ability to adapt to changing clinical needs.

Skilled communication is central to the role. You'll be supporting patients and families during what can be a very difficult time, helping them to navigate their options with clarity and compassion. You will also work closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure coordinated, person-centred care.

Airedale offers a supportive working environment with close links to Macmillan, a strong emphasis on professional development, and a culture that encourages open communication and collaborative working.

If you're looking for a role that allows you to use your clinical expertise and communication skills to make a meaningful impact, we would welcome your application.

Apply now to learn more about joining the team at Airedale.

The post holder will be working under the supervision of a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to provide support to the clinical team to manage the caseload across the lung care pathway.
