MAG County Coach

? Position: MAG County & Club Coach

? Location: Drake Mill, with occasional travel for competitions and courses

? Contractual Hours: 25.5 hours per week, Open to smaller contracts for the right candidate.

To deliver high-quality gymnastics coaching across a range of Men's Artistic (MAG) specific County, Floor and Vault and Recreational groups, supporting the MAG pathway while developing gymnasts holistically. The role contributes to the growth of the club's programme and includes opportunities for personal coach progression, qualification support, and development from County Coach to potential leadership responsibilities at the county level, with further advancement opportunities as the programme expands. Key Responsibilities

? Deliver coaching sessions for MAG classes

? Attend mentoring and planning sessions

? Support competitions, events and school visits

? Progress through coaching and judging qualifications

? Contribute to the development of gymnasts into competitive pathways.

? Support holiday clubs, club-wide events and parties

? Maintain high standards of health & safety, safeguarding, and welfare at all times.

Person Specification

? Level 1 or 2 Men's British Gymnastics Qualification

? Experience working with children, adults or within sport/gymnastics is essential.

? Enhanced DBS check required (provided by the club).

? Safeguarding and first aid qualifications provided by the club.

? Strong communication, teamwork and adaptability skills.

? Enthusiasm for developing gymnasts and maintaining participation levels.

? Ability to travel for competitions and courses; car sharing encouraged.

Flexibility of the Role

This role has been designed with flexibility in mind. While the full-time position includes 25.5 paid hours per week, we recognise that the ideal candidate may be seeking more or fewer hours. For the right applicant, the role can be adapted, with responsibilities tailored to availability, strengths, and qualifications. Part-time coaches may deliver a selection of the listed classes, with opportunities to increase hours as experience, confidence, and qualifications grow. Our priority is to appoint a coach who aligns with the programme's ethos and pathway.
