Are you looking to kickstart an exciting career in b2b publishing? Bell Publishing is looking for a Magazine Publishing Apprentice to join our team.

Who we are:

Bell Publishing is a family-owned, international b2b media and events company based in north Kent. We specialise in niche industry-leading titles covering the dairy, confectionery, tea and coffee, and metal packaging industries.

Your role:

As a Publishing Professional Apprentice, you'll gain hands-on experience in all aspects of publishing, with a focus on b2b journalism. From editorial and content creation, to digital media and event support, you'll work closely with our experienced teams, learning how to create, edit, and publish content across our print and online platforms.

Level 4 Publishing Professional Apprenticeship:

You will be receiving training through LDN Apprenticeships. The course covers the entire publishing journey, from the conception of a digital product or journal, through to production, sales, marketing and publicity processes.

Key responsibilities:

Assist with editorial tasks such as researching, writing and editing content. Support the production process with proof reading. Help manage our websites, including uploading content and maintaining archives. Get involved with social media strategy and posting. Represent the company at events (ideally you'll have a passport and be happy to travel independently). Provide timely responses to queries both internally and externally as required. Work with editors to continually develop the magazines/websites and provide best practice in the editorial department. Provide general administrative support to the publishing team.

Your skills:

A passion for media, journalism and publishing. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Attention to detail and a keen eye for proof reading. Willingness to learn and a proactive attitude.
