We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic English Lecturer to deliver GCSE English and Functional Skills English to learners aged 16-18, as well as adult learners. You will be responsible for creating engaging, inclusive, and learner-centred lessons that inspire achievement and support progress.
We require candidates with relevant teaching experience and an approach to teaching and learning that is dynamic, inspiring and personalised to your learners, making use of a wide range of teaching strategies and techniques.
You will bring strong teamwork, classroom facilitation, and behaviour management skills, along with excellent organisational abilities. The role requires full compliance with College standards, including effective lesson planning, student assessment, accurate record-keeping, and regular reviews of individual education plans.
A great teacher at Barnet and Southgate College does not just bring their knowledge, skills and experience but motivates, impacts and influences learner success. Mentoring and supporting learners through all aspects of learner experience is key to the role.
